This was my first time in the kayak on this body of water and man did I learn some things. I had been here maybe 5 or 6 times in a friend’s boat and we had mixed results. I ended up doing three trips here in the fall from the end of October to second week in November and did I learn some things. The key bait today and all three trips to this body of water was the Chatterbait. A lot of my bites in part one where on the fall of the cast, I was fishing a deep cabbage bed and I could see clumps of cabbage on Mega Live 2 and I would throw at them. These fish probably would have bit a lot of different presentations ie, senko, swim jig, it was not windy yet and those fish were just chillin in the weeds being opportunistic.
