Michigan wide receiver Darryl Stonum has been sentenced to two years' probation for operating a vehicle while visibly impaired.
Stonum was given a suspended sentence Friday that could put him in jail for a year if he violates probation, which includes daily breathalyzer tests.
The previous day, Stonum was ticketed for driving with a suspended license.
Michigan coach Brady Hoke handed Stonum, a starter last year for Rich Rodriguez, an indefinite suspension after he was arrested May 6. Stonum's status with the team hasn't changed.
When Stonum was a freshman in 2008, he was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. Stonum ended up in jail last summer because he didn't comply with terms of his probation.
Mike Valenti of 97.1 the Ticket had some very harsh comments regarding Stonum's sentence hear what he had to say and also hear what I believe the future holds for Stonum at Michigan. It's all in the weekend edition of the McShan Sports Beat Report.
