Alzheimer’s Disease Updates
Target Audience
This activity is designed for physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other allied health care professionals.
Statement of Need
Memory issues can often be overlooked in primary care unless reported by patients, leading to delayed dementia diagnosis and treatment. This activity will help providers recognize dementia as a complex condition, identify its types and symptoms, explore management options, and understand the importance of interdisciplinary teams and referrals.
With over 55 million people worldwide living with dementia, addressing these gaps is crucial for improving patient outcomes.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this offering, the participant will be able to:
Describe the diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease with biomarker confirmation.
Identify treatment goals and potential side effects of antiamyloid therapies.
