1A song of ascents. Remember, O Lord, onto David all his affliction.
שִׁ֗יר הַֽמַּֽ֫עֲל֥וֹת זְכוֹר־יְהֹוָ֥ה לְדָוִ֑ד אֵ֜֗ת כָּל־עֻנּוֹתֽוֹ:
2That he swore to the Lord, he vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob;
אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּ֥ע לַֽיהֹוָ֑ה נָ֜דַ֗ר לַֽאֲבִ֥יר יַֽעֲקֹֽב:
3That I shall not come into the tent of my house, and I shall not go up on the bed that was spread for me.
אִם־אָ֖בֹא בְּאֹ֣הֶל בֵּיתִ֑י אִֽם־אֶֽ֜עֱלֶ֗ה עַל־עֶ֥רֶשׂ יְצוּעָֽי:
4I shall not give sleep to my eyes nor slumber to my pupils,
אִם־אֶתֵּ֣ן שְׁנָ֣ת לְעֵינָ֑י לְעַפְעַפַּ֥י תְּנוּמָֽה:
5Until I find a place for the Lord, dwellings for the Mighty One of Jacob.
עַד־אֶמְצָ֣א מָ֖קוֹם לַֽיהֹוָ֑ה מִ֜שְׁכָּנ֗וֹת לַֽאֲבִ֥יר יַֽעֲקֹֽב:
6Behold we heard it in Ephrath; we found it in the fields of the forest.
הִנֵּֽה־שְׁמַֽעֲנ֥וּהָ בְאֶפְרָ֑תָה מְ֜צָאנ֗וּהָ בִּשְׂדֵי־יָֽעַר:
7Let us come to His Tabernacles; let us prostrate ourselves to His footstool.
נָב֥וֹאָה לְמִשְׁכְּנוֹתָ֑יו נִ֜שְׁתַּֽחֲוֶ֗ה לַֽהֲדֹ֥ם רַגְלָֽיו:
8Arise, O Lord, to Your resting place, You and the Ark of Your might.
קוּמָ֣ה יְ֖הֹוָה לִמְנֽוּחָתֶ֑ךָ אַ֜תָּ֗ה וַֽאֲר֥וֹן עֻזֶּֽךָ:
9Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and let Your devout ones sing praises.
כֹּֽהֲנֶ֥יךָ יִלְבְּשׁוּ־צֶ֑דֶק וַֽחֲסִידֶ֥יךָ יְרַנֵּֽנוּ:
10For the sake of David Your servant, turn not away the face of Your anointed.
בַּֽעֲבוּר דָּוִ֣ד עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ אַל־תָּ֜שֵׁ֗ב פְּנֵ֣י מְשִׁיחֶֽךָ:
11The Lord has sworn to David in truth, from which He will never turn back, "Of the fruit of your body I shall seat upon your throne.
נִשְׁבַּ֚ע יְהֹוָ֨ה | לְדָוִ֡ד אֱמֶת֘ לֹֽא־יָשׁ֪וּב מִ֫מֶּ֥נָּה מִפְּרִ֥י בִטְנְךָ֑ אָ֜שִׁ֗ית לְכִסֵּא־לָֽךְ:
12If your sons keep My covenant, and this, My testimony, which I shall teach them, also their sons will sit on your throne forever."
אִם־יִשְׁמְר֬וּ בָנֶ֨יךָ | בְּרִיתִי֘ וְעֵֽדֹתִ֥י ז֗וֹ אֲלַ֫מְּדֵ֥ם גַּם־בְּנֵיהֶ֥ם עֲדֵי־עַ֑ד יֵֽ֜שְׁב֗וּ לְכִסֵּא־לָֽךְ:
13For the Lord has chosen Zion; He desired it for His habitation.
כִּֽי־בָחַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֣ה בְּצִיּ֑וֹן אִ֜וָּ֗הּ לְמוֹשָׁ֥ב לֽוֹ:
14This is My resting place forever; here I shall dwell for I desired it.
זֹֽאת־מְנֽוּחָתִ֥י עֲדֵי־עַ֑ד פֹּ֥ה אֵ֜שֵׁ֗ב כִּ֣י אִוִּתִֽיהָ:
15I shall bless its provision; I shall sate its needy with bread.
צֵידָהּ בָּרֵ֣ךְ אֲבָרֵ֑ךְ אֶ֜בְיוֹנֶ֗יהָ אַשְׂבִּ֥יעַ לָֽחֶם:
16And its priests I shall clothe with salvation, and its devout ones will sing praises.
וְכֹֽהֲנֶיהָ אַלְבִּ֣ישׁ יֶ֑שַׁע וַֽ֜חֲסִידֶ֗יהָ רַנֵּ֥ן יְרַנֵּֽנוּ:
17There I shall cause David's horn to sprout; I have set up a lamp for My anointed.
שָׁ֚ם | אַצְמִ֣יחַ קֶ֣רֶן לְדָוִ֑ד עָרַ֥כְתִּי נֵ֜֗ר לִמְשִׁיחִֽי:
18His enemies I shall clothe with shame, and upon him his crown will shine.
אֽוֹיְבָיו אַלְבִּ֣ישׁ בֹּ֑שֶׁת וְ֜עָלָ֗יו יָצִ֥יץ נִזְרֽוֹ:
