After the disappearance of Mrs Fotheringill the twins haven't been attending playgroup. With no willing substitute Queen Thistle, with help from Mrs Elf, becomes their new teacher.
Ben, Holly and Nanny Plum help Mrs Witch have a bit of a clear-out. The children bring the magical items back home, but in the wrong hands they cause a few problems.
Nanny's magic license is out of date and in order to get a new one she must pass a test, set by the Wise Old Elf.
