This is a commercial for Ketel One, a vodka brand of the Nolet Distillery in Schiedam, Netherlands It's distilled from 100% wheat in copper pot stills (Ketel is Dutch for pot still), filtered over loose charcoal, and rests in tile-lined tanks until ready. Ketel One Vodka is named after the original copper pot still, "Distilleerketel #1." The alcohol content of this spirit is 40% (80 proof (US).
"There was a time when substance was style. When men were unmoved by the constant cur of the crowd. Or they didn't drink their vodka from delicately painted perfume bottles. There was a time when men were me... it was last night. Inspired by 300 years of tradition."
This voiceover is nonsense. And the visuals are just a bunch of shots and guys drinking and playing cards in black and white.
"Gentleman, this is Vodka"
This commercial was recorded on Tuesday, May 26th, 2009 on The Discovery Channel during a new episode of Deadliest Catch.
