In 1922 archaeologists find the mummy of Imhotep along with a scroll but strangely they find out he was actually buried alive.

Karloff steals the thunder here especially when he comes back as the creepy Ardeth Bay you mix that with the make up work from Jack Pierce and along with the Universal formula and you have an almost perfect spooky movie from one of the greatest decades of horror.
