How to Trace Maps Using

Описание: This video walks you through how Illustrator has changed a lot of the tools for image tracing and it's now easier than ever to create SVGs, EPSs, PDFs and AIs files of complex imagery. In this example, I had downloaded a .SVG of the Richmond County Map from the local GIS website. It was unusable because the file was not really an SVG other than in name only. To fix that I had to trace the county boundary manually. In previous iterations of Illustrator this would have been almost impossible for me. I was never good at using the pen tool. But now, witht he combination of the curvature tool and the Anchor Point tools it is easier than ever to make complex shapes. Watch the video to see how I accomplish this. You can too!
