This time Gator catches up with Josh and his GT2560R turbo–powered NB Mazda MX5. What started life as a lightweight, fun roadster has been turned into a seriously quick little weapon while still keeping that classic MX5 balance and feel.

Josh talks us through the setup, including the GT2560R turbo conversion and how the car drives now compared to stock. With plenty of boost on tap, this MX5 punches well above its weight and proves just how capable these cars are when built right.

Visually, the car is just as dialled as the performance. It’s running Bomex front and rear bumpers paired with genuine Mazdaspeed side skirts, giving it an aggressive but period-correct JDM look that suits the NB perfectly.
