One of Neil Diamond’s most mind-blowing songs, Holly Holy (released in Oct.1969) was described by the singer himself as a “stream of consciousness” song. According to him, the listener does not need to listen to the lyrics as much as “feel” the song. I would therefore leave it to you to do so.
I believe that will not be a problem, as Neil performs it with so much passion.... physical and spiritual. Most of the images in the video are of the singer himself at different times in his career; but all images were chosen with care to represent - as far as possible to express - my own interpretation and feeling about this very special song.
