Throughout 2025 we have celebrated the growing impact of Woody Guthrie’s legacy through a range of exhibitions, performances and educational programs. The year began with an exhibition, created in partnership with Searchlight Pictures, featuring props from "A Complete Unknown,” the film about Bob Dylan and his early connection to his idol, Woody Guthrie. Other pivotal moments in music and culture were highlighted in our exhibits "Hip Hop America: The Mixtape Exhibit” and current exhibit Glen E. Friedman’s "Burning Flags."
The center’s theater hosted the inaugural season of the Common Chords concert series which welcomed national and international artists to the stage. Our educational outreach had a record-breaking year through school tours and family-focused programming like the Family Folk Fest. October also marked the presentation of the Woody Guthrie Prize, honoring Bono and The Edge of U2 in Tulsa, with a special gala and reflections from T-Bone Burnett on the importance of carrying this work forward.
Looking ahead, 2026 promises to be a year of renewed energy and inspiration. We look forward to welcoming you and continuing to share the music, stories and spirit that connect us all.
