She said because of my extreme selfishness and because I absolutely refused to empty my personal bank accounts to fund her husband Bradley and his failing tech startup I was officially cut out of the family. My own parents raised their glasses in eager agreement celebrating my banishment like it was a victory. I did not cry. I did not beg for their forgiveness or offer them a blank check. I simply gave them a faint serene smile.
