After completion of this video session, it is expected that you will be able to:
Describe external features of the medulla oblongata: Anterior median fissure, pyramid, olive, inferior cerebellar peduncle, posterior median sulcus, obex, gracile fasciclus, cuneatue fasciculus, gracile tubercle, geniculate tubercle, tuberculum cinereum.
Describe the structures at the floor of the 4th ventricle: hypoglossal trigone, vagal trigone, vestibular area, stria medullaris, and lateral recess.
Identify the sites of emergence of cranial nerves in relation to the above-mentioned landmarks.
