Colombo has never drunk water like a normal cat.
Instead of just... drinking, he:
Dips his paw in the water bowl
Licks the water off his paw
Sometimes leaves his entire paw IN the bowl while drinking
Creates a puddle on the floor every single time
Is it a Maine Coon thing? A Colombo thing? I honestly don't know.
But it's adorable
🐱 About this quirk:
Some cats drink with their paws because of whisker sensitivity - when their whiskers touch the bowl edges, it can be uncomfortable. Others do it because moving water seems "safer" instinctually.
Colombo seems to just... prefer it this way.
