For more than ten years a German neo-Nazi group carried out at a string of murders without being detected. Almost all of the victims were migrants. But neither the police nor the intelligence services thought to seek the culprits in Germany's rightwing extremist scene. The failures of the authorities and the media will also come under the spotlight during the upcoming trial.

Theodore Kouvakas - studied art history in Florence and architecture in Venice, and trained to become a journalist. Since 2010, he had served as Berlin correspondent for Real Media SA.
