If you're a native English speaker, it's likely the only names you've heard for the religious figure for whom Christianity is named are Jesus Christ and Jesus of Nazareth. Other modern languages have slight differences from the English version, but they're all basically transliterations from the language Jesus actually spoke, Aramaic.
In fact, it's actually interpreted twice. From Aramaic to Greek, and then from Greek into the modern languages of today. And in that transliteration, the name has changed quite a bit from what it originally was. The original name is considerably closer to a different name you're probably familiar with. So, what was Jesus' real name?
