La victime a été retrouvé en état de choc et une chasse à l'homme avec l'aide de l'unité canine s'en est suivie dans le cartier pour retrouver les 3 suspects. Au moins deux d'entre eux ont été apréhendés et emmenés dans des autos patrouille. Un policier du SPAL s'est jeté à l'eau dans une piscine de la cour arrière d'un résident du voisinage dans le cadre de l'investigation pour trouver la trace des suspects.

Today at noon Longueuil Police responded to a call of an armed attack on a young man by 3 others with brass knuckles and batons at the corner of Duvernay street and boul Desaulniers near St-Jean-Baptiste high school in the old Longueuil. The victim was found in a state of shock and a manhunt began with the help of the canine unit search dog in the neighbourhood to find the 3 suspects. At least two of them were caught, arrested and carried away in police cruisers. One officer from SPAL went for a swim in the swimming pool of a close by resident to search for evidence in the search of the suspects.
