'Like Summer' - Acoustic

Описание: I wrote this song in a time much like now, after period of self isolation and darkness. I wanted to share this acoustic version because this song saved me, and still saves me every time I feel hopeless.

Right now with the pandemic and the #BlackLivesMatter movement, there’s a whole lot to feel hopeless about. This song is my reminder that no matter how difficult things get, no matter how much it seems like there’s no hope - there’s always light on the other side.

The beautiful thing is when you reach that light, because you’ve become so accustomed to the darkness, it feels brighter than ever before. ‘Like Summer’ is about that moment, the first hug with your loved ones after lockdown, the first smile after a period of depression, the first breakthrough in an open conversation.

It’s not a Hollywood moment, it’s not happy ever after, but it’s enough to let you know you should always keep going.
