Описание: Rare and beautiful 1928 Ford Model AA Pumper Firetruck with Southern Apparatus, rare wire spoke wheels, and a Buckeye Roto-Rays (replica) rotating light.

This amazing truck belonged to Bob Scherzer. He fully restored it years ago. He was a well known and loved “car guy” in the Model T and Model A community, as well as the Fire Department Community.

He owned a foundry business casting original parts, tools, and various other hard-to-find, desirable, and interesting items. The radiator ornament on this fire truck is just one, of the many, castings he made.

He was also one of the best and most influential high school teachers, primarily teaching auto shop (mechanics and auto body), but also teaching welding, plumbing and electrical, building and construction, and wood shop.

He was a person that EVERYONE LOVED!!! I am blessed and honored to have had him for my teacher back in high school, and as a dear friend for so many years. Sadly, he passed away. I will treasure the memories with him forever.

He was such a fascinating person, that American Pickers did a show at his estate last summer, when they learned about his life and all of his talents and interest.

My husband and I, who own Mother Declutter and Tiny Town Resale, are liquidating Bob’s estate for his children. This Model AA fire truck is just one of the many items we have sold from this estate. We will be listing more “Cool” vehicles and other items soon!

Note: This was our first time starting and driving a Model AA, and we didn’t know the exact settings to make it run perfectly smooth. So, if it doesn’t sound like it’s running just right (as we aren’t sure how it “should” sound) please forgive our learning hiccups. Plus, it seems that vehicles in videos never sound as good as they do in person.

This was a super fun (and sentimental) experience for us and we wanted to share this awesome old fire truck with you! ❤️
