So I guess I haven’t gotten all of these depressing videos out of my system yet.
But this is my last one. I guarantee it is. AT LEAST FOR BOOK 3.
Anyway, I’m real happy with how this one turned out.
I thought this song described Korra perfectly right now – both her great despair and the lingering hope that (I hope) is still within her.
The “medicine” in this song is all the trials and hardships and tragedies that Korra has gone through as Avatar. I wanted to parallel her past self with her current self and show the circumstances that brought her to this point. The song simply says “it’s just medicine” which I took as a really ironic statement because this medicine is literally killing her.
But since I’ve been making such depressing videos lately though, I wanted to end the video with optimism and hope – giving positive quotes from the Korra we all love and finally end it with encouragement from Katara that Korra is in a fact a great Avatar.
I’m sorry. I am still the worst.
