First, with the assistance of someone wearing the appropriate PPE, open the flap and unzip the front entry of the garment. Hold the hood back over your head and roll it inside outward to avoid contamination. At this point, the assistant can disconnect the airline.
For the sleeves and gloves, the assistant helps the wearer remove the gloves and holds the attached glove or wrist of the suit. The wearer then pulls one arm at a time. This process is repeated for the second arm.
Unfasten the belt and slide the garment down towards your knees while continuing to roll the inside of the garment outward. The doffing process differs slightly based on your specific style – TF630 with attached socks or TF640 with attached over-boots. Your assistant will assist you in removing your legs from the suit based on your style.
Finally, the wearer doffs inner shoes. With these steps, you have successfully doffed your Tychem® 6000 AL garment. You'll also learn how to do it quickly and safely for emergencies requiring immediate suit removal.
