In this episode of Will It Home Server? I take a broken Lenovo Yoga from my loft with no screen, no battery, half a laptop and turn it into a fully working AI server running Ollama and CasaOS. On WiFi. With a micro HDMI adapter I never want to see again.
Because you don't need expensive hardware to self-host. You just need something that boots (half the time)
⚡ Commands In Order
Install CasaOS:
curl -fsSL https://get.casaos.io | sudo bash
Install Ollama:
curl -fsSL https://ollama.com/install.sh | sh
Pull a model:
ollama pull qwen3:0.6b
Run a model:
ollama run qwen3:0.6b
