The barricades can be abused for free friendship if you let them get to exactly zero before fixing them. It also helps target juice for a specific bonus trait. Which you can abuse Barbara's gun parts, Joe's base resources, or Michelle's food to stack what you want early. I think barricades along with coffee bean farming will be the meta if you're trying to max friendship. I did realize a while ago that if you plan on killing other survivors just make one person the designated murderer. For scavenging I think it might count your items as part of your haul if you put everything down and pick it back up. Will have to test if bringing a full bag dropping then picking back up the items prompts the positive friendship event.
I'm probably gonna make a tips and tricks video soon about the most recent patch with some of the stuff I've found out from this run when done.
It seems like the friends buff doesn't stack:
having a friend(Connection in shelter +2)
having a close friend(Connection in shelter +3)
having a lover(Connection in shelter ?)
Allowable survivors before crowded debuff:
1-4 survivors (crowded shelter 0)
5-7 survivors (crowded shelter -1)
8-9 survivors (crowded shelter -3)
10+ survivors (crowded shelter ?)
