Biljana Končar & Mladen Vedriš in cooperation with Croatian Wushu Federation present Tai Chi Sword Learning program - 1st Module - Solo Form

Croatian Wushu Federation (HWUS) runs a learning program of Tai Chi Sword (Tai Chi Chien - Taiji Jian), intended primarily for students of Tai Chi Chuan (Taiji Quan), but also for students of all other Wushu disciplines, in order to extend their understanding of Wushu and improve their co-ordination, concentration, agility and awareness.

It is built upon the Classical Tai Chi Sword Form of 53 Movements, whose description can be found in the book Petra & Toyo Kobayashi: Classical T'ai Chi Sword, Tuttle Publishing, 2003., and whose lineage originates from Cheng Man-Ching and continues with Chiang Tao Chi, Toyo Kobayashi, and Tathata Kobayashi.

The program has been developed and executed by licensed HWUS Tai Chi trainers Biljana Končar and Mladen Vedriš, both 3rd Duan CWA, and both disciples of Tathata Kobayashi in the art of Tai Chi Sword.

The learning process is structured in 3 modules (beginning, advanced and master) and executed through 3 years with the following outcome, expected after each module:

1st module - attendants should be able to demonstrate the whole solo form from the program.

2nd module - understand the techniques from the form and demonstrate some simple sword sparring with a partner.

3rd module - demonstrate a two-person sword form (San Shou) and some complex sword sparring.

Each module ends with an intensive seminar which is held during the traditional Wushu seminar of HWUS in Rab.
