Amazing Single-Story House with Cantilevered Pool

Описание: This house located amidst the lush vegetation of Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, faced the challenge of building a single-story home on a steeply sloping terrain. The architects devised a solution in two volumes, arranged in an "L" shape, to take advantage of the topography and preserve the integrity of the natural landscape.

The first block, designated for social use, is located at the highest part of the terrain and houses the main entrance of the house.

The second block, intended for private use, is located at the lower part of the terrain, protected by the first block, creating a private and tranquil environment. This distribution allows access to the garden from all rooms in the house, providing a seamless connection with nature and improving natural lighting and ventilation.

The design features a harmonious combination of metal structure, glass, concrete, and wood, resulting in a contemporary and inviting design. To further reinforce this connection, a green roof on top of the second volume not only adds aesthetic appeal but also contributes to the thermal insulation of the house.

One of the striking features of this residence is the impressive cantilevered roof, providing shade to various areas of the house.

The swimming pool is also a highlight of the design. With its cantilevered structure, it extends over the slope of the terrain, seamlessly integrating with the surrounding tropical vegetation.

Furthermore, the integration between indoor and outdoor spaces is a key characteristic of the residence.

The sliding glass doors open fully, allowing the indoor spaces, such as the living room, to seamlessly connect with the sunny patio, providing a sense of continuity and expanding the living spaces.

The materials used, such as concrete and wood, were chosen to create a cozy and sophisticated aesthetic. The house volumes, clad in exposed concrete, appear as solid monoliths, contrasting with the wood details that bring warmth to the spaces. Additionally, the wood panels used on the façade and interior of the house also contribute to the privacy of the residents.
