Описание: Meet Emeritus Professor David Badcock from the UWA School of Psychological Science. A Rhodes Scholar, Professor Badcock obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford. He then completed post-doctoral appointments in the US and UK before returning to Australia and joining UWA in 1996.

Professor Badcock’s research delves into how our brains process and interpret visual information. His work has made significant contributions to vision science, focusing on areas such as visual processing in dyslexia, motion processing, and the visual function changes in individuals with migraines. Through this interview, he reflects on his teaching philosophy and experiences, recalls personal anecdotes about his academic journey, and discusses life beyond academia as he continues his association with the school.

This video is part of the Capturing a Psychology Experience (CAPE) Project, aimed to provide insight into the Psychology discipline at UWA. It was created by the UWA School of Psychological Science in 2024 as part of a work integrated learning placement for SCIE2205.
