An expert in police training says former officer Derek Chauvin used deadly force during the arrest of George Floyd telling the court the action was not proportional to the situation.
Chauvin is facing murder and manslaughter charges after he held his knee on the 46-year old’s neck for more than nine minutes.
Sergeant Jody Stiger told the court the force used was disproportionate because Floyd was handcuffed and not attempting to resist.
