Описание: The FAA is conducting research and development (R&D) to enable the safe, reliable, and effective integration of unmanned aircraft systems (drones) into the airport environment for operational purposes. For more information: The FAA is conducting research and development (R&D) to enable the safe, reliable, and effective integration of unmanned aircraft systems (drones) into the airport environment. Chief among outcomes of this R&D is conducting research, testing, and evaluations to identify suitable technologies, performance specifications, and standard and repeatable guidance (e.g. processes, procedures, considerations, etc.) for various UAS airport application, including but not limited to: obstruction analysis, pavement inspections, wildlife hazard management, perimeter surveillance, and situational awareness for aircraft rescue and firefighting, foreign object debris detection, and airfield lighting. The outcomes of this research will assist with creating/updating FAA guidance documentation that will pertain to the safe, reliable, and effective integration of UAS (drones) at our nation’s airports.
