The 78th Independence Day Celebration took place at Tobu HQ on August 15, 2024. Shri K. Naiba Konyak, the Hon'ble MLA of 55 A/C Tobu, hoisted the National Flag and delivered a speech at the local ground. The Independence Day Parade was led by Parade Commander Mhabemo Kikon of the 6th NAP Tobu HQ and featured various contingents, including the 6th NAP Tobu, Village Guard Tobu, Newman HR Sec School Tobu, Govt. Hr Sec School, and Bejing High School Tobu (2). The event concluded with traditional folk dances performed by the Konyak Nyupuh Suko Kong (KNSK) Tobu Unit and the Tobu Aoleang Group.
