During Sindoor Jatra, people celebrate by smearing each other with Sindoor (Vermillion) while traditional music is played, and people dance, exchange wishes, and share joy. The entire area of Madyapur Thimi becomes covered in orange due to the Vermillion powder. This festival has similarities to the colorful Holi festival, but instead of water, dry Sindoor is used.
