In mid June 2020 the Siemens Vectron locomotives of the Slovak national operator Žeľezničná spoločnosť Slovensko (ZSSK) started running on EuroCity trains to and from Prague for the first time.
Although this stop-gap measure was just temporary, while most "Metropolitan" EuroCity trains were terminated in either Bratislava or Nové Zámky instead of running through to Budapest, it is likey that also in future timetable periods, the ZSSK Class 383 will make regular appearances on international services between Slovakia and the Czech Republic. ZSSK has a fleet of 10 such Vectrons, which are normally used on the flagship InterCity services between Bratislava and Košice.

Ab Mitte Juni wurden die Slowakischen Vectron-Lokomotiven der Reihe 383 auf EuroCity-Zügen erstmals auch bis Prag eingesetzt. Die Slowakische Staatsbahn Žeľezničná spoločnosť Slovensko (ZSSK) hat 10 dieser Universalloks von Siemens.
