A very underwhelming year 2020 was for Carson Wentz. Is this his last year here in Philadelphia or does he remain the franchise QB? Personally, I believe the Philadelphia Eagles have failed their main guy. After signing him to a 4 year extension, he single handedly carried the injury ridden Eagles to the playoffs in 2019 and his playoff debut was cut short due to a cheap shot from Jadeveon Clowney. Going into 2020, it was clear that the main issue aside from a non-existent LB core, was the wide receiver position. Justin Jefferson was the clear pick to go with, however Howie Roseman had other plans and selected Jalen Reagor. Going into the second round, there was still hope to help his franchise quarterback. Howie instead selected Jalen Hurts as he claimed the team itself is a "quarterback factory."

Going into 2021, the Eagles may trade Carson Wentz although his destination seems unclear given his contract issues. For me, he is still the guy that can lead this team to a super bowl given the correct protection and receiving core. The current state of the team is a better fit for Jalen Hurts as he is significantly more mobile than Wentz. Only time will tell what the future holds.
