" On October 19th, 1955, a little Roland Dyens was born.

Roland Dyens grew up to be one of the most influential classical guitarists of our time, expanding the repertoire of the classical guitar with his compositions and arrangements from pieces like his famous "fake tango" Tango en Skaï, and Saudade No.3 to his beautiful arrangements of Pixinguinha and Astor Piazzolla. he understood the guitar like no other could, and because of that, he made some of the best modern works of art for the classical guitar that will continue to be studied and played for a long time to come.

he passed away on the 29th of October 2016

if he were still here with us, he would be 70 years old today.
