A TBI spokesperson confirmed to WVLT News that agents are still working alongside the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI to investigate Summer Wells disappearance.
Most recently, TBI said agents and detectives were following up on a lead in the case in the 3500 block of Van Hill Road in Greeneville, which is 9.8 miles away from Summer’s family home on Ben Hill Road in Rogersville, on Nov. 13. TBI was unable to confirm details regarding the tip or if agents found anything at the location.
This is the latest update in the Summer Wells case since TBI released an updated age progression picture of her in August.
