SOPLÓN is a double bass, punishingly noisy but groovy powerviolence three piece from Lima, PE and Berlin, DEU.
With Members of Poncho Negro (PV, Perú) and LÖRI (Screamo, Perú/Deutchsland), SOPLÓN explores topics of peruvian and latinx-american politics through a critical lens of recent events involving corruption, oppression and power: the third world politics' holy trinity.

In recent years latinx-america and Perú have experienced social and political turmoil fueled by a desperate need for change but close to nothing has been achieved and things are pretty much the same.

The bands lyrics and concept dive into the policing role that civilians and cops perform to gain or mantain a piece of the illusion of power, even if plays out against their own or themselves.
(SOPLÓN means snitch but also, in a colloquial and derrogatory way, is how some people refer to cops.)

Compuesto en Miraflores, Lima, Perú en dos semanas de Marzo del 2023. Grabado en el Callao, Perú entre Marzo del 2023 y Abril del 2025 por Daniel Llamoja en Echa Records.
