Every Saturday Stockton Firefighters drill on a variety of strategy and tactics. This drill was performed by the 'B' Shift at Company 2, the department's specialty rescue 'USAR' house.
This drill simulated a stranded window washer victim on a landing. The rescue team creates a lowering system so that a rescuer can be lowered to the victim. A safety harness is attached to the victim, and the rescuer and victim are lowered to the street.
All company's were available while drilling. The drill took a little more than a half an hour, the simulated rescue took a little less than ten minutes.
