Australia Post will soon deploy new technology to accurately alert customers when their packages are due to arrive.
The Australian newspaper reports the feature will send recipients a text message within two hours of a delivery.
The postal service will deploy more than 500 electric vehicles, which can carry three times more packages than a motorbike.
Australia Post will also be opening more 24-hour parcel lockers in 250 locations across the country.
