This is a brief (45 minute) recap of the famous 6 factor formula. I tried to cut out some minutiae and break it down to what a licensed operator needs to know.
I go through the 6 factor formula focusing on what we, as operators, can change and what we cannot change.
The true focus of this part will be the Resonance Escape Probability (p) and Thermal Utilization Factor (f).
I will review the concept of the moderator to fuel ratio and how it can affect reactivity. The last part will be the concept of an overmoderated vs undermoderated core and how to control each.
