In this video, I provide a complete overview of pre-Islamic Iran's genetic history utilizing Davidski's Global25 calculator. The Achaemenid, Parthian, and Sassanian periods in Iranian history are the primary areas of focus. The samples analyzed are from a recent genetic study on the origins of the Achaemenids, Parthians, and Sassanians, and the sources is provided below. Based on my analysis, the ancient Iranians from all of the aforementioned periods, were primarily of indigenous Iranian farmer descent, with only a minimal genetic contribution from Yamnayan Steppe populations, and non-West Eurasian populations. In terms of the genetic continuity of contemporary Iranians, the majority of Iran's population has greater than 80% continuity, with Kurds having around 70%. The findings also refute the ludicrous claims made by Jason Reza Jorjani that the ancient Iranians were primarily of Nordic European descent, whereas the results presented by me, and also the study, largely refute these claims. Thus, the contemporary Iranian population is primarily descended from their ancient ancestors. The sources are listed below, and additional sources are available via email at [email protected].
