The Bunya Mountains is a spectacular wilderness range forming an isolated section of the Great Dividing Range situated about 150km from the coast and lying almost centrally between Kingaroy and Dalby. The Bunya Mountains are pristine, peaceful, and spectacular, yet only 2½ – 3 hours from Brisbane and 3 – 4 hours from both coasts.

Bunya Mountains National Park boasts the largest stand of ancient bunya pines in the world and is the second oldest national park in Queensland. Exploring this nature-filled gem will bring you to discover mountains, rainforests, waterfalls, grasslands, panoramic views, wildlife, and stories of times long ago.

This is our first day of road trip to South-East Queensland. We went to Toowoomba made a few stops in the city of Toowoomba and explored a bit. We finished off by going towards Bunya Mountains and at the moment we are staying here for the night. (24/06/2021, 9:31PM). Hopefully tomorrow we will hike the Bunya mountains and show you more.
