Gabby’s Animal Rescue operates without any discrimination based on breed, color, age, or health conditions. We dedicate our efforts to assisting as many animals as possible within our capacity. When this sweet boy was found as a stray and brought into Visalia Animal Services, he was no exception.

Highland was going to be a TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) or euthanasia because he had a major abscess. VAS sent him to their vet at CCSPCA in Fresno, where a drain was sewn in him. They searched for rescue, and when they called us, we took him in.

Staff mentioned they didn’t clean his wound that morning… it looked terrible, infected. We flushed the wound daily. In 3 days, all the tissue sloughed off. We’re now doing daily wound cleaning, medi-honey body wraps. His wound is granulating and is getting smaller every day.

This is the type of transformation that is possible with a little TLC. But it's not something we're able to do without support. It is important to note that Gabby’s Animal Rescue is not a government or state-funded organization. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity, and our sole source of revenue comes from donations.
