P&O Arvia Mediterranean cruise...Was Vigo a good replacement for Cadiz ?

Описание: It was the 4th of July as we sailed into our final port of call on this Mediterranean cruise , we had reached the port of Vigo in Spain , Vigo was an alternative to our original port Cadiz which unfortunately had been cancelled due to Industrial action . We had been to Vigo once before but Pearl couldn't remember much about it .
So after breakfast we disembarked the ship and found our way into the city . After wandering around the nice pedestrianised area with shops and Cafes it was time to stop for a coffee.

Then it was time to find our way to the Castelo do Castro a hilltop park with the remains of a fortress built during the Middle Ages . Unfortunately the climb was too much for Pearl who decided to stop and wait at the halfway mark . Once reaching the summit the views looking over the city and surrounding bay were fantastic . We had earned a nice cool drink and stopped in a bar for a couple that went down very well .

On returning to the ship we headed up to the Sky dome for the sail away party where Pearl was on great form . Back in the cabin we got ready for our second formal evening of the cruise . We had dinner in the Zenith restaurant which was very nice before heading to the atrium to do a little bit of people watching . As usual our next stop was the Clubhouse where Pearl got her Pulse fix , tonight was their Soul and Motown set . We finished the evening up in the Crows Nest .
