Vatha Kuzhambu is a traditional South indian recipe enjoyed by all. We have now created an Instant Premix powder. This can be stored for upto 3 months and used when required. a boon for bachelors, elderly ,and everyone who wants to save time!
Ingredients
Dry red chilli 1 cup/40 number
Coriander Seeds/Dhania 1 cup
Channa dal 1/2 cup
Tuvar dal 1/4 cup
Black pepper 2 tsp
Methi seeds/Fenugreek 2 tsp
Manathakali kathal/blacknight shade 3 tsp
Hing/asafoetida 3 cubes
Mustard seeds 2 tsp
Curry leaves 2 sprigs
Tamarind 1cup (tightly packed)
Salt 1 tsp
Jaggery powder 1 tsp (optional)
To make vatha Kuzhambu
Til oil/Sesame oil 4 Tbsp
Onion/vegetables/soaked channa 2 tbsp
Vatha kuzhambu premix 2 Tbsp heaped
Water 2 cups
Salt to taste
