Fabric shopping in San Francisco

Описание: After we visited the Lego Art exhibit David took me for a bit of fabric shopping! We went to Britex Fabrics near Union Square. This shop has recently moved and downsized a LOT! My friend Marietta then recommended that we go see Discount Fabrics out in the south end of the Mission District. Both were lovely to see after so long! San Francisco was so quiet still!

Britex has all of the high end brands and the highest quality fabrics but you pay for that quality. Discount Fabrics is not nearly as fancy and quite a ways out of the center of town but..the bargains are there!! :) The employees at both places were lovely, knowledgable and awesome! Discount fabrics has many more lengths of fabric containing polyester or other synthetic fibers but there was PLENTY of silk, cotton blends, linen and wool. I found a lovely little piece of red wool to use for tribal beading, a bit of silk to recover a parasol and some very cool black gingham cotton linen blend.
