16 December 2014 - Tensions between EFF leader Julius Malema and some members of his top leadership boiled over on the third day of the party’s congress in Bloemfontein. Malema clashed with party MP Andile Mngxitama during nominations for the party’s executive body, the central command team. This happened as disgruntled delegates left the nomination process to protest outside the venue, denouncing Malema as a dictator.
