River is the son of my close childhood friend. On February 4, 2016, at only two-years-old, he was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia. Three weeks later, he passed away due to complications during treatment. I wanted to do something really special for my friend and her family. Through painting a portrait of River and creating this video, I felt that his sweet spirit could be felt and shared by everyone. In this time lapse, watch the painting process as River's angelic face emerges. This was a difficult project for me to create emotionally, but my hope is that all those who watch will remember River, and have the courage to face life's greatest challenges.
