The way we used to do it.
I've got my set up so it is as close to playing with vinyl as is possible. I've only mixed on it a fews times so getting used to things. Annoyingly, there is a bit of latency when trying to scratch...
You can tell I have still not let my old vinyl mixing habits go..

A live mix on the Rum & Bass show on You Tube. I started about 1pm and ended 3 and half hours later... Time flies when you're having Rum. ..and Bass. Timewarp..

A lot of these tunes were heavily rotated on RadioActive FM.. A original pirate radio station I used to play on in the late 80's / early 90's. (Radioactive FM. DJ Pure and DJ Naughty)
It's a mix of breakbeat rave from 1991 / 1992. Early isms too. Some of the tunes I played in a set I played for Spiral Tribe & Techno Travellers.. Chobham Common, and Castlemorton. The party that ended all parties, sigh.
Other memorable free outdoor parties I played a lot of these tunes at were at a party next to a house with a moat (Horses and antique wine were the themes of the night) The Broad-moor underpass. A couple of parties in Hearthside, Camberley. Ascot gathering. Effingham pond. A great party in Lightwater in 1991. A couple of parties in the woods in Fleet. Some parties in the woods, Guildford way. Stroud. Cassington. Dublin. A party in a quarry. Orbital parties. The church reception hall on the Old Kent Road.
Sound Systems and parties such as POD, Circus Warp, Exodus, Techno Travellers, Spiral Tribe, Bedlam.
Lawless parties, huge sound-systems, and loads of like minded people from all kinds of backgrounds who were at the parties to dance and let off steam.

These tunes remind me of house parties too. And raves in local clubs and event halls / backrooms that were rented.. They also remind me of raving at raves like Rapido, Dance 91, Zen, Slippery When Wet, Rage, Astoria.
Pirate radio stations such as Pure FM, Kiss FM, Green Apple, Radioactive. Outer Limits. Abstrakt Dance.

..The memories start to flood back.. Great times.
