"15 Minutes of FAME" is the FAME Flagship’s monthly open morning coffee webinar series in which the Flagship’s researchers and partners offer snapshots into their current scientific work and activities within the FAME network.
This webinar was presented by Prof. Aku Ursin (University of Eastern Finland).
This talk focuses on a novel greenhouse gas monitoring technique developed by Prof. Ursin’s group and collaborators: laser dispersion tomography. This technique uses sequential open-path laser dispersion spectroscopy measurements and wind data to infer spatially and temporally varying greenhouse gas concentrations and source maps at facility scale.
FAME – Flagship of Advanced Mathematics for Sensing, Imaging and Modelling is a multidisciplinary competence centre harnessing applied mathematics and physics for the benefit of the society. FAME is part of the Research Council of Finland's Flagship Programme.
