When it comes to instructional design projects, a lot can still be learned by doing things the Agile way. The rapid iterative cycles of design & evaluation Agile provides offers an effective framework for adapting to change as it happens and for delivering the content learners need most.
In this video, the author of Agile for Instructional Designers and Founder and CEO of TorranceLearning, Megan Torrance, explains a unique Agile approach she created. It was designed to specifically meet the needs of learning design projects. It is called Lot Like Agile Management Approach or LLAMA for short.

TRANSCRIPT
When I started using Agile in 2009, so Agile comes from the software development space. I have lots of friends who are software developers, Ann Arbor, Michigan is a hotbed of Agile development very early on. And it made so much sense in my life. But it didn't totally line up with an instructional design project.
And so we were doing a lot of Agile methods and then we were applying instructional design techniques every once in a while. We just hide and shove those in on the side.
So what we did was we mapped out our process and we said, is this still Agile? And we're like, well, it's a lot like Agile. And that's how LLAMA was created. It is Agile methods for specifically instructional design and development projects. And so LLAMA is how we apply Agile in an instructional design or learning experience design context.
