Episode Summary:
We are back on the roads with Cheshire Police’s elite team of motorway cops. With a quarter of cars in the UK now fitted with dashcams, it is easier than ever to access evidence of bad and dangerous driving. Narrated by Nicky Campbell, we follow the team as they crack down on some of Britain’s most serious driving offenders.
Tonight, in Middlewich, PC’s Matt Turner and Ian Cosgrove head to the scene of a collision where an 11-year-old child has been hit by a van. As the child is taken to hospital by an air ambulance, Matt and Ian start their investigation to figure out what happened.
On the M56, PC Rowan Burt is searching for a driver wanted for unpaid speeding fines. When he finally catches up with the suspect vehicle, he is surprised to find it is a police car.
And outside Chester, PC Chris Swash responds to reports of wheelbarrows on the loose, blocking a live lane of a busy dual carriageway. But when he arrives, he sees two men running across the busy highway attempting to recover their lost cargo.
